Periods don’t stop your life — so why let poor hygiene stop your comfort?
Menstrual hygiene isn’t just about feeling fresh — it’s about staying healthy, confident, and infection-free throughout your cycle. A few simple practices can make all the difference!
Here’s how to care for yourself during your period:
🩸 1. Choose one method of sanitation that suits you best. You can use pads, tampons, or menstrual cups based on your comfort and lifestyle. Whatever you choose, ensure it’s clean and hygienic.
⏱️ 2. Change regularly.Change your pad or tampon every 4–6 hours, or sooner if it feels damp. This helps prevent infections and keeps you feeling fresh.
🚿 3. Wash with plain water.Avoid harsh soaps, douches, or scented products — they can disturb your natural pH balance. A gentle rinse with plain warm water is more than enough.
🧼 4. Daily showers are a must.A warm shower not only keeps you clean but also reduces body odour and menstrual discomfort. It’s a simple way to refresh both your body and mind.
🫶 5. Practice hand hygiene.Always wash your hands before and after changing pads or tampons. It’s a small step that prevents the spread of bacteria.
👙 6. Wear breathable cotton underwear. This allows your skin to breathe and reduces moisture build-up — keeping rashes and irritation away.
🗑️ 7. Dispose responsibly.Wrap and bin your used sanitary products properly to maintain hygiene and protect the environment.
💧 8. Stay hydrated & maintain hygiene even after periods.Hydration helps your body balance hormones and reduces bloating. Continue good hygiene practices before, during, and after your cycle.
✨ Remember: Menstrual hygiene is self-care. It’s your comfort, your confidence, and your health — all in your hands!
